David Torchin is a partner in Torchin Martel Orr LLC. His practice includes Collaborative Divorce and mediation, two types of alternate dispute resolution, as well as general litigation and arbitration. He has lectured on family law issues at continuing legal education seminars.
He is a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators and the Family Law Sections of the American, New Jersey and Bergen County Bar Associations. He is a certified mediator and is also a trained collaborative law attorney. In addition to divorce and custody matters, Mr. Torchin handles prenuptial agreements, step-parent adoptions, grandparent visitation, name changes and other matrimonial issues.
He graduated cum laude from Brandeis University where he received his B.A. in Economics, and then graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. After completing law school and before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Ralph L. DeLuccia in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part in Passaic County.
